With one of the world's largest ports, Shanghai is the perfect place to host Intermodal Asia.

The Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (SWEECC) is located in the centre of Shanghai and near the Huangpu River. It is 40km from Pudong International Airport to the east and 20km from Hongqiao Airport to the west. The Expo Center (and Hall 3 in which Intermodal Asia is located) is close to the China Art Museum, the Mercedes-Benz Area and several five-star hotels.

The SWEECC is easily accessible by metro and bus lines. It is also connected with river thoroughfares such as Nanpu Bridge, Lupu Bridge, Dapu Road Tunnel, Shangnan Road and Yaohua Road.
