ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION FORUM
THE TRANSITION TO WATERBORNE PAINT SYSTEMS IN ORDER TO REDUCE VOC EMISSIONS

In view of growing environmental pressure in China, this forum addressed and discussed the issues being faced in the transition underway to waterborne paint systems.
Discussion topics will included: the economic impact to factories and buyers of using waterborne paint systems; paint system options; the effect on volume of production; technical challenges encountered so far such as ‘flash rust’ and how these will be overcome.
The goal of the transition to low VOC paint systems is to help improve air quality in China whilst providing buyers with high-quality containers.

Intermodal Asia hosted two free-to-attend conference streams - the Innovation Theatre and the Technology Theatre.
Each brought together a wide range of leading experts to discuss the innovative solutions and technological advancements which are driving forward developments that will shape the future of the industry over the coming year - Presented in dual language.
@TCO ASIAN TANK CONTAINER FORUM
CO-SPONSORED BY AICM - moderator Ms Lida Li, BASF
@TCO, (the Asian Tank Container Organisation) co-sponsored by the AICM, hosted the Tank Container Forum. This ticket-only forum focused on the safe transportation of chemicals using tank containers.
Topics discussed included:
- Opening Address from Mr Reginald Lee, President of @tco Asia and ITCO and Mr Alasdair Jelfs, AICM Chairman
- The advantage of combining the two tank container organisations (@tco and ITCO)
- Evaluation of the current logistics within the Chinese economy
- Update on the @tco depot audit system reflecting government regulation
- Introduction to the ITCO e-learning programme
INTERMODAL IN CHINA FORUM, HOSTED BY SISI
Hosted by the Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI), the forum looked at current trends, innovations, issues and solutions affecting the intermodal industry in China.
Intermodal Asia's Container Park provided the opportunity to explore the latest container transport innovations from every angle.
The display included over 40 different container units, from dry, tank, reefer, special, modular and chassis, making it the world’s largest exhibition container park.
CONTAINER OWNERS ASSOCIATION (COA)
The Container Owners Association (COA) welcomed current and prospective members to visit them at Intermodal Asia.
